Red White Blue Ice Cubes (Printable)

Layered red, white and blue ice cubes using blueberries, coconut and strawberries to brighten summer drinks.

# What You Need:

→ Fruit

01 - 1/2 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
02 - 1/2 cup strawberries, hulled and chopped
03 - 1/2 cup fresh coconut meat or unsweetened shredded coconut

→ Liquids

04 - 1 cup coconut water
05 - 1 cup natural blueberry juice
06 - 1 cup natural strawberry juice or cranberry juice

# Steps:

01 - Wash blueberries and strawberries thoroughly. Hull and chop strawberries as needed.
02 - Fill one-third of each ice cube tray compartment with blueberries. Pour blueberry juice over to just cover the fruit. Freeze for approximately 1 hour until set.
03 - Once the first layer is solid, add a portion of coconut meat or a sprinkle of shredded coconut to each compartment. Top with coconut water to fill the next third of each slot. Return to the freezer for 1 hour until firm.
04 - Distribute chopped strawberries over the set layers. Fill the remainder of each compartment with strawberry juice or cranberry juice. Freeze until thoroughly solidified, about 2 more hours.
05 - Remove fully frozen ice cubes from tray. Add the colorful cubes to lemonade, sparkling water, or chilled cocktails for a festive touch.
