02 - Arrange sliced bananas evenly on the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Spread drained crushed pineapple evenly over the banana layer.
03 - Scatter the halved maraschino cherries across the pineapple layer.
04 - Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the fruit layers. Evenly distribute the chocolate chips and nuts on top.
05 - Drizzle melted butter evenly over the entire surface.
06 - Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until the surface is golden and edges are bubbling.
07 - Allow to cool slightly before serving. Top with whipped cream, extra cherries, and a drizzle of chocolate syrup if desired.
